Client

The Australian Mining community had too much dependency on paper and MS Excel. The data was disjointed and scattered.
There were no flexible and customisable products in the market to cater to such a niche sector. Determining the final price of the commodity was challenging, and one party would often feel shortchanged. There was a immediate need to bring in transparency and authenticity in the process.

Understanding user

The domain was completely a new territory for us. Fortunately, our client assigned a dedicated Subject Matter Expert (SME) for this MVP, who generously guided us through the business terminology and thoroughly explained all the relevant documents. I moved to Sydney for 3 weeks to facilitate and get better understanding of our user base.

Facilitating workshops with the SME and our dev team helped me in building a agreed upon design roadmap for the project.

We ran a bunch of whiteboard sessions where each of us took turns walking through our take on things. This helped the entire team to grasp concepts and align with the business. Showing below the agreed upon module for UI Design.
